I may never find what I am looking for (one always finds what one seeks). I don’t even know the question. I can’t connect the dots because I don’t know what the dots are. But I feel like the attempt counts. At least I don’t think I’ll regret making the attempt when I’m 80.
The beauty has to be in the attempt itself. It reminds me of how “enlightened” gurus or Zen masters always say things like “it’s right in front of you”, “it’s so simple/obvious”, “it’s our very nature”. But they had to spend 40 years to reach that point, which their listeners seem to forget.
